RAUSCH – Das Schokoladenhaus

Retail Experience & Gastronomy Design

What does the outlook of a traditional company into the future look like?

Rausch is celebrating its 100th anniversary and to mark the occasion, the outdated chocolate house on Gendarmenmarkt is getting a whole new makeover!
The strategic repositioning through the takeover of the son plays an important role in this. The new chocolate house is to reach far into the future and factors such as flexibility and changeability as well as thought-out functionality are the maxims. The concept includes besides classic retail sales on the first floor, also out-of-home sales, as well as chocolate vending machines on the façade for night owls who can’t live without the rush of chocolate pleasure even after closing time late into the night. In addition to the chocolate restaurant, the first floor also has a unique area for drinking chocolate. The motto ‘outstanding quality for everyone’ takes on a new dimension!
The result convinces with a mix of manufactory character, classic-traditional modernity and innovative technical aspects. Consistently staged theme windows, focus as well as highlight areas, live shows and thanks to the mirror the probably longest counter of Berlin welcome the customer – so it remains always exciting in the chocolate house and the passion for the topic ‘chocolate’ becomes facet-rich experiencable.
A visual eye-catcher: the ceramic lamps, handmade especially for the Chocolate House and looking like cocoa fruit, present the theme of chocolate in a unique way.
